Troy Cabida is a Filipino poet, writer, and librarian. He was born in 1995 and grew up in Las Piñas City, Metro Manila. He is currently based in south-west London.

He is the author of War Dove (Bad Betty Press, 2020). His second pamphlet, on sour encounters, was self-published in 2022.

His recent work appears in Masculinity (Broken Sleep, 2024), Bi+ Lines (fourteen poems, 2023), State of Play (Outspoken, 2023), 100 Queer Poems (Vintage, 2022), and Tiffany & Co. His work has also been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize for Poetry 2022.

In his writing, Troy explores being Filipino, sexuality, joy, discrimination, and clothing within the sphere of queerness.

Troy has served as producer for London open mic night Poetry and Shaah. He is an alum of the Barbican Young Poets and the Roundhouse Poetry Collective.

Other credits include performances for the ESEA Lit Fest, The RAP Party, Yeah OK!, TOAST Poetry, Barbican Centre, The Prince Charles Cinema, ArtfulScribe Lit Fest, The Rialto Theatre, Tilted Axis Press, and commissions for TAPE Collective, RUMAH, and Small Green Shoots.

Troy holds a BA in Psychosocial Studies from Birkbeck, University of London. He currently works at the National Poetry Library.
