What painful
realisations, it’ll hit you in the head quite hard,
when you begin to fully see years and days past,
loosened up friendships and screwed off bonds once tightened,
and once you break the glass, it’s impossible to unsee,
the reasons Fate has decided to be bitchy,
demoting you as the good thing, no longer the Better Thing,
the good thing that is rightfully replaced
for the something better that justifies
time
moving
forward
in your loved ones’ lives.
